Description
WordPress Plugin BuddyPress is prone to multiple vulnerabilities, including cross-site scripting and security bypass vulnerabilities. Exploiting these issues may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site, allowing the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks or to perform otherwise restricted actions and subsequently e.g. take control of every group (change name, description, avatar and settings). WordPress Plugin BuddyPress version 1.9.1 is vulnerable; prior versions may also be affected.
Remediation
Update to plugin version 1.9.2 or latest
