Symantec Message Filter is prone to multiple vulnerabilities.
1. A remote information-disclosure vulnerability.
Attackers can exploit this issue to gain access to sensitive information that may aid in further attacks.
2. A session-fixation vulnerability.
Successfully exploiting this issue, an attacker can hijack an arbitrary session and gain unauthorized access to the affected application.
3. An unspecified cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input.
An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.
4. An unspecified cross-site request-forgery vulnerability.
Exploiting this issue may allow a remote attacker to perform certain administrative actions and gain unauthorized access to the affected application.
