Debug Scans

Debug logging is available if you need to troubleshoot the scanning done on a specific target. Refer to the relevant section below for more information about debugging scans according to your Acunetix product.

Acunetix On-Premises

To troubleshoot the scanning done on a specific target, you need to first enable debug logging for the target. This is done through the Advanced section of each target's settings. Once enabled, the Acunetix scanner will log the progress of the scan and any problems encountered during the scan. It is also possible to enable logging for all targets by editing the settings file.

The debug logs are stored in:

  • Windows: C:\ProgramData\Acunetix\shared\scans
  • Linux: /home/acunetix/.acunetix/data/scans/

Acunetix Online

If you need to troubleshoot the scanning done on a specific target, submit a ticket through our Help Center and our support team can enable debug logging if necessary.
