An Acunetix Web Vulnerability Scanner Scanning Profile defines which tests to launch against the target website. For example, if you wish to test a website against Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities, simply select the XSS Scanning Profile. You can also create a new Scanning Profile which includes specific web application vulnerability checks or modify existing scanning profiles.
The Scanning Profiles are stored under the C:\ProgramData\Acunetix WVS X\Data\Profiles directory. If you want to copy one scanning profile from one Acunetix WVS installation to another on a different computer, simply copy the Scanning Profile to the same location on the other computer where Acunetix WVS is installed and restart Acunetix WVS. The new copied Scanning Profiles will be automatically included in the Acunetix WVS’s Scanning Profile drop down menu.
