Interacting with a Scan in progress

Although scanning in Acunetix is mostly automated, manual intervention might be needed for Targets with advanced login protections like CAPTCHA, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), or One-Time Password (OTP) mechanisms configured in the Login Sequence. This document shows you how to complete such manual intervention.

How to interact with a scan in progress

  1. When you are performing a scan for a Target with manual intervention, Acunetix will pause and prompt you with a pop-up notification.

  1. Click the link in the pop-up or navigate to the menu on the left and click on the Bell icon to expand the notifications list.

  1. Locate the Manual Intervention notification and click Resolve this issue.

  1. The Login Sequence Recorder (LSR) will open and automatically perform all the recorded actions until the required manual intervention. Perform the necessary actions that the LSR requires.

  1. When done, click Close at the bottom of the LSR window.

  1. The LSR will continue to execute the remaining login actions.
  2. The remainder of the scan will proceed automatically.
